Can you hear me now?

The new and improved Big Girl Job requires I stay connected at all times so they bought me an iPhone. I'm adjusting.

My friend Laura swears it'll change my life.
My friend Kelley thinks it's about time I drank the Koolaid. For the record, I was forced to drink it - I did not go willingly off the cliff.

I've only had it a week and I don't love the phone part. It's bulky and I accidentally call people when I'm just looking at their number. And my fingers are too big - I hit all the wrong buttons. AND the beloved Auto Correct keeps changing my name to limberly. Because that makes WAY more sense than Timberley! No, not so much. And the screen always has fingerprints - yuck! And the battery goes down really quickly - this probably has a lot to do with the fact that I'm constantly playing with it.

With all that being said, I love APPS!! I.LOVE.THEM! I have all kinds now! I only download free ones because I understand my limits and I'd like to have money for bills. My favorite is Instagram! It's awesome! And I've grown very attached to the 'always connected' idea.

Take today for example. I decided to venture out for lunch and ended up taking a not-so-correct turn. I'm really not sure how this happens, I end up in the wrong lane with no other option but to turn and so I turn with the "here we go" mentality. So when I took said not-so-correct turn, I quickly pulled out my smart phone and said HELP! Find me! And it did! I was a cute little blue dot and it led me all the way back to my office. Safely. If this had been two weeks ago, I would have had to call my mom. I understand that at 30 years old this should probably NOT be my first response but whatever; I'm okay with my codependancy.

So I'm adjusting. Adjusting to a new schedule. New building. New phone. My boss texted me a second ago and the Choo Choo noise startled me so bad I about came out of my chair. Fun Times.

Until next time.....
