That point where as a Stay at Home Mom I have nothing to talk about but the Baby. I can tell you when The Chica Show and Daniel Tiger comes on (my favorites!). I can tell you what she eats and when. We can talk about her clothes FOR DAYS!! ;) We can talk about how her hearts desire is to be in my lap trying to get to everything around her.
This is what my day looks like.
All day. Every day.
When she learns the word "Ma" - I might go nuts. Seriously. This is Karma. One of those things that my mother wished on me. "One day you will have a child just like you...." Gee, thanks Ma. ;)
And just when you think it's safe to make eye contact.....here she is again.
But I want on the couch!!! |
Some people will say "go to a mom group!" but I don't want to. I don't like people. Plus I don't want to talk about being a mom. I want to talk about work drama and traffic! I want to talk about upcoming projects and stupid bosses!
But not really.
Then I'd miss this.
And who wants to miss that!?
And I DO get out - a lot! We visit friends all the time! And I got to read a book a few weekends ago!
And this isn't a blog where I regret for a second the choice we've made.
It's just a realization.
I used to help produce TV commercials and helped with the production of one of Houston's biggest shows! The organized chaos was FABULOUS!
Now the chaos is different.
My life is different.
My life is a child under my chair.
And that's FABULOUS too!
Dear friends without kids,
I am sorry (sort of). I am sorry I have nothing to contribute to the conversation other than poops and Puffs. One day maybe!
But until then......

Timby, as one of your friends without kids, who is now realizing that I one day aspire to have a life with a child under my chair, I say that your blog is often the highlight of my day. And you, my dear, are often the center of my conversation. So don't for a second think that you aren't contributing to the conversation! You are FABULOUS! Always. xoxo
Awwww! Thanks, Love! You've made my day!
