Pieces of Home

Today's RAP photo is 'stained'.

This is the first piece of furniture we refinished and it's still my favorite. It's a dresser that used to belong to my grandmother. I used it all through college. It's the perfect height with deep drawers. I think it's perfect.

After several years of wear and tear, it needed a face lift. We stripped it and stained it and now it lives in our kitchen. It holds our kitchen linens, baby food, aprons and a few party items.

It's BEAUTIFUL.

The KIR photo was 'utensil drawer.' We have a lot of utensils.

We do not have enough drawers in the kitchen to accommodate our collection. Last year at the Rodeo, I found the two vases in the top in the top right picture. They work PERFECT. I love the colors and I love the story behind them. I purchased them from Brookwood, a community for adults with functional disabilities. They are a lovely addition to our kitchen.

Until next time.....
