However, when it comes to hair and makeup - I don't really care. Seriously.
Hair. I have a hairdryer but only because my sister stayed over and needed one. So there is one in the guest bathroom now. I don't know if there is hairspray in the house. If we have some, it's a small travel sized bottle that came with something. I did not buy it. I pin hair instructions mainly to pretend I'm going to attempt one one day. But all the instructions start out with "when your hair is dry". Yeah, I don't have time for that. And if it has more than one step or requires bobby pins - chances are it's not going to work. I can't make headbands stay on my head either. No lie.
Makeup. I own makeup but only because I occasionally use it as a complexion corrector. I have been known to buy eye shadow with the intent of attempting to apply it correctly but it just seems so exhausting. The only makeup I never go without is mascara and I only moved up to the 'onyx' instead of the 'very brown' color a few years ago. The mascara I use is "water proof/washable". Go ahead and judge. I can cry at the drop of a hat and I don't want to use paint thinner to get it off my face. If I can't get the makeup off with regular face wash - I'm not interested. I'm so paranoid they're going to get rid of this one day I always buy a few at a time. I only started using eye liner after college when I watched one of those Movie and a Make Over things on TV and the makeup artist made the eye liner look really easy! So I tried and it wasn't so bad. Now it's the only way I put it on.
I do maintain my eyebrows....occasionally.
But now I have a new problem.
I have always had blond eyelashes and since having a baby, my eyebrows are now super blond too. And my bangs have grown to an unruly state so I've started pinning them back which means I look strange. Really, really strange.
Side Rant - SERIOUSLY! Why?! I mean, come on! Who does this happen to?! Is this a normal result of something? Is this a fun side effect of one of the drugs I'm on? Is it crazy hormones? Getting older? WHAT?!?! What did I do to deserve disappearing eyebrows?
So last night I call my sister and her friend Kacy who I knew would have the answer. They laughed - of course. And they didn't believe me! So I sent them a picture....stand by.
They get the picture and laugh....again. Then Kacy tells me about a product that I find. When I got home I tried it out. It's not perfect - but it's a start!
I'm a hot mess.
And now I have to draw my eyebrows on. I don't have a steady hand!
And someone needs to teach poor Alice all about makeup - her mother is inept.
Seriously.

One suggestion would be to use eyeshadow instead. It's a lot easier than an eyebrow pencil to handle. You can just use an eyebrow brush and dark-ish NON SPARKLY eyeshadow and apply it. Maybe worth a shot. :)I do that sometimes to enhance. :)I'll google some things and get back to you. :)
