We shopped and had lunch. We ate outside and Alice enjoyed watching the little birds dive in and out hoping for a crumb.
While in a shop, I picked up a baby Winnie the Pooh. She saw it and her face lit up. She hugged it and it was hers. And she had to hold it on the bus.
So sweet! She's moved to the "hug all stuffed animals" phase. Except the Sheep. Never the Sheep.
After lunch we split up and headed to find Mickey.
*Meltdown Moment: I dress her in her cutest outfit and I am DETERMINED to get her picture with Mickey. My Beloved says it'll be okay if we can't find Mickey. This causes a meltdown. "IF WE DON'T SEE MICKEY ALL THIS IS IS A REALLY EXPENSIVE SHOPPING TRIP!!!!" My Beloved - "we'll find him."
And we did.
Now for the Meeting Mickey story.
We show up to stand in line to meet him and she is PASSED OUT! Dead to the world! When it's our turn, I have to wake her up. And the first thing she sees is this big mouse thing. Fun times. And the new Mickey is super creepy. His eyes blink and he asks you questions and then responds according to what you say.
Mickey wants to be friends.
Momma just wants a picture.
He's all chatting up the baby who is clearly NOT impressed and growing less and less impressed by the second and all I want him to do is look at the camera. ;)
We got through the picture and headed out to take a Sheep picture. That'll be a post all on it's own.
We had dinner reservations at Epcot so we headed that way. On the way to dinner we met some more friends!
Alice met Alice!! |
And Mary Poppins!! |
We also toured France.
For dinner, we ate at Chefs de France. The food was lovely however the service was fantastic.
This is my shout-out to our waiter, Bryce.
It was a late reservation so Alice was a little tired and fussy. I had to stand with her to keep her calm. He said "when the food comes, I'll take her around the restaurant really fast so you can have a few bites." Bless him. I didn't take him all that seriously however when the food arrived, he came for the child! And away they went. He took her all around the restaurant where the other staff members cooed over her. He let her watch them make some pastries. And I got to eat HOT FOOD.
I love Bryce.
If you find yourself at Chefs de France - ask for Bryce. Tell him Alice sends her love.
After dinner, we headed back to the hotel. She took a little nap on the bus and by the time we were in the room - she was ready to play again.
Seriously. The cuteness.
